Tips for enjoying our
treats
Our freshly baked treats are intended for
consumption soon after purchase. We have
conducted countless blind taste tests and can
answer any questions you might have about the
longevity of our food. Generally, sealed
cupcakes are delicious for 2-3 days and brownies
for 4-5. Our tarts are highly perishable, and
should be eaten the day of their purchase,
although they often hold up well and have both
delicious flavor and texture on the second day.
Our tarts and cupcakes with light colored
frosting should be refrigerated for safekeeping,
but all of our treats are best enjoyed at room
temperature. Treats are sold ready for immediate
consumption; if you refrigerate them, allow 30
minutes or more at room temperature for optimal
taste and texture.

Our treats
are based on original recipes developed
and refined by Mary at Gingerlily
Bakery, and are intended to be the very
best in their category.
Tarts
Honey Cream Fruit Tart:
Delicious and beautiful cream-filled
tarts topped with locally grown seasonal
fruit. Sweetened with honey, these Crème
Fraiche fruit tarts are a Gingerlily
original, and are as delicious as they
are beautiful. A thin coating of
chocolate separates the crisp flakey
crust and honey cream filling. Featured
seasonal fruit include: Valley Center
blood oranges, sweet cherries,
strawberries, plums, and nectarines.
Citrus
Fruit Tart:
Delicious and beautiful custard-filled
tart topped with locally grown
strawberries. The custard filling is
made from organic oranges and lemons and
is topped with locally grown
strawberries. These fruit custard tarts
are rich and tangy, with a wonderful
fruity flavor. With baked custard, this
tart is firmer than our cream-filled
tart, with a crisp and flakey crust.
Cupcakes
Chocolate
Fix: This
cupcake is a chocolate lover’s dream.
The cake is an old-fashioned light,
moist cake with rich chocolate flavor.
Our frosting is a creamy ganache made
with Ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate
and cream. It’s perfectly balanced and
delicious.
Killer
Coconut: Our
coconut cake is very moist, yet light,
and has subtle flavor. Our coconut
cream cheese frosting is tangy and
delicious. Topped with toasted coconut,
this subtle flavored cake with tangy
icing is perfectly balanced.
Carrot
Sublime: Our
special version of a traditional carrot
cake is made with Organic carrots,
raisins and toasted pecans. Our rich
cream cheese frosting is topped w/
toasted pecans. Our very moist cake made
with Organic carrots (especially
important for root veggies) is a
standout version of this classic
dessert.
Hummingbird:
Our version of this Southern recipe is
made with organic bananas, pineapple,
and toasted pecans. The flavors are
subtle and perfectly balanced. It’s
topped with tangy cream cheese frosting
and garnished with toasted pecans and
pineapple. Yum!
Red
Velvet: Our original recipe for this
Southern tradition is made with crème
fraiche and cocoa, producing a cake that
is especially light and moist. It is
topped with tangy cream cheese frosting.
(Necessarily, this cake is made with red
food coloring and hence is not all
natural).
In addition to the
cupcakes flavors above we offer both
Italian Cream and Tiramisu on advanced
special order.
Brownies
Double
Fudge Brownie:
Made with Ghirardelli bittersweet
chocolate and Belgian unsweetened baking
chocolate, this is no run of the mill
brownie. It is extremely moist, rich,
and delicious, and is closer to fudge
than cake in both texture and flavor.
Coconut Pecan Brownie:
Rich and delightful, this chocolate
brownie is encrusted with coconut and
pecans. The baked coconut pecan topping
is crunchy and rich, and beautifully
complements a delicious chocolate
brownie.
